CompoundBuyer
About and editorial standards

What Compound Buyer is, and how we work.

Compound Buyer is an independent, reader-funded UK editorial publication based in London. We review UK research-peptide suppliers and explain the regulation, lab accreditation and product documentation that affect buyers. For research purposes only.

Who we are

We are a small editorial desk that publishes long-form, evidence-led reviews of UK-registered research-peptide suppliers, alongside explainers on certificates of analysis, lab accreditation and UK law. Every review is produced in-house. We write for the buyer, not the seller.

How we are funded, and our independence

Compound Buyer is reader-funded. We do not accept advertising, affiliate income, referral commissions, or paid placement of any kind. A supplier cannot pay to enter a review, pay to leave one, or pay to change what a review says. No supplier sees a review before it is published. If we ever hold a commercial relationship relevant to a review, we state it plainly on the page in question.

How we research and score

Before a supplier is reviewed in depth we check it against the same framework, applied the same way to every name. Where a review is scored, we publish the score out of ten and the reasoning behind it. The framework weights two things highest, because in this market they are the hardest to recover from if they are missing: proof of the product, and protection of your money.

  1. Verified certificate of analysis. A per-batch CoA from a named, identifiable third-party laboratory such as Janoshik, with a batch number that matches the vial.
  2. Payment protection. Whether your money is held until the order arrives and is verified, or exposed the moment you transfer it.
  3. Pricing transparency. Whether prices are published openly or only given on request.
  4. Honest sourcing. No research peptides are manufactured in the UK, so every UK supplier sources from abroad. We weigh whether a seller is straight about that or pretends otherwise.
  5. Service and support. How fast and how specific the replies are, before and after the sale.
  6. Track record. A real, verifiable history through Companies House, independent reputation and prior reviews.
A verified certificate and a protected payment are not two checks among many. They are the two a buyer cannot get back if they skip them, so they carry the most weight.

Our sources

Findings source to public records and direct observation. We draw on the UK Companies House register, the UKAS public register of accredited laboratories, third-party testing labs such as Janoshik, publicly visible Trustpilot and other review profiles, the supplier's own public website, and, where relevant, regulators including the MHRA and the Advertising Standards Authority. Reviews reflect what was publicly verifiable at the date of last update and are revised on a rolling basis as evidence changes.

Corrections and right of reply

We correct errors of fact promptly. Any supplier or reader who believes we have something wrong can write to the editorial desk through the contact page with evidence. Verified corrections are reflected in the next edition with a note in the corrections log. Suppliers are entitled to a right of reply on factual matters.

Research-use-only and medical disclaimer

Everything on Compound Buyer concerns products sold in the UK for laboratory research use only. Nothing on this site is medical, clinical or therapeutic advice, and nothing concerns human use. We review the sellers and the documentation, not what any compound does in a person.
